Our first tour was the 17 mi Pebble Beach drive. Mom and Dad went maybe 25 years ago, but it was free then, now it costs $10, but worth it. Three first vista was well above the hills that overlook Monterey Bay.
Next came the first of several Pebble Beach golf courses...we had no idea there were multiple Courses, each beautiful and so well manicured!
We then came across Spanish Bay where explorers in 1763 thought they had found Monterey Bay. It had a nice boardwalk and really blue water and white sand! I got a few pets too!
Now I've been to the Atlantic and Pacific, yay!
And another beautiful course that looked over the Bay...
The homes were spectacular too...
Mom and Dad stopped for a selfie near Bird Rock...I looked over the birds...
Bird Rock was pretty cool with both birds and seals!
We continued on the 17 mi road with a stop at the lone Cypress, over 100 years old. Mom saw it when she was 12 and then again with Dad 25 years ago!
More seals played in Monterey Bay...
The Cypress trees and Bay made for a pretty landscape
From here we made our way to THE Pebble Beach Course...
And on to the exquisite Carmel By the Sea...
And the houses that looked over the sea
From here we continued down Route 1 toward Big Sur!
The Mountains and Pacific made for a cool cloud inversion layer!
Soon we came across the famed Bixby Bridge, one of the most photographed in the world
And then the clouds took over!
Glad we weren't in the RV...
And after we passed through Big Sur, just the same as it was so many years ago, we headed back!
That night Mom and Dad went to a great restaurant in Carmel, Flaughtery's where Mom had Sand Dabs (delicate little white flounder, but minature) and Dad had Sea Bass. The waitress said the Key Lime Pie was better than Fl so they took the challenge...she was right they said!
This morning we went over to the ocean...oh boy! Mom didn't know it was a half mile hike up the sand dunes...but I was happy!
We sure don't see these signs in Hilton Head!
I was very happy to finally get there...
But Mom explained there was a problem...
And her knees just didn't think that hill would be good...oh well, I enjoy the sand more anyway!
Home we went
And off to Garlic, CA, only 30 mi down the road but this park was full tonight! Mom discover Garlic has wineries...here we go again!

Finn, you are really enjoying your new life on the road.
