Bryce Canyon Nat'l Park...Hoodoos, Hoodoos, Hoodoos

On Tuesday, June 21 we made our way up to Bryce Canyon Nat'l Park. The drive up was beautiful!

When we got to the campground they didn't have us in a spot with Cable so Mom asked to move if possible...you know she likes for me to have TV😋. They moved us to the employee area so instead of sharing wifi with 500 people it's some small number of folks...Mom and Dad are happy campers! Soon after we arrived Mom rounded us up and we all headed up to Bryce! Once again Dad's pass got us in for free, yay!

Bryce was inhabited by Indians 10,000 years ago, Paiute one if the early tribes.. John Wesley Powell led the first scientific expedition (same Powell that Lake Powell named for). On our way in we saw a Pronghorn Antelope right at the entrance!

Bryce is known for its Hoodoos, developed through sediments in lakes and streams 60M years ago. The park is set up with a long 17 mi drive up to Rainbow Point and a walkable rim with parking along the way to drive as well. Mom, Dad and I started at the top!

The view was awesome!

Dad and I really liked it and we talked it over

Before we left I met some nice people and wagged and wagged...ut oh gray again😱

We walked a bit and rode a bit, each stop had a different angle of the canyon and hoodoos

Mom and Dad took me to do a hike at Mossy Cave but the had to take me home as it said no dogs...can you imagine? They went back on their own...

Then they headed back up to Bryce for Sunset!

On Wednesday Mom and Dad went to Grand Staircase Escalante, another national park 70 mi away.
Mom said the temp was warmer and the park was not as neat looking as Bryce but it had some pretty parts to the drive.

Since it was too hot to hike Mom and Dad went to an organic restaurant in Boulder...Utah that is, that Auntie Sharon recommended. It was called Hell's Backbone Grill, named after a local road. It was fabulous, the most unusual, but delicious BLT Mom said she ever had with organic ingredients or farm raised right there. Dad said it was right up there with Low Country Backyard BLT in HHI!

Father they came home we all went back to Bryce for a Rim walk. Wouldn't you know it, I had a harem of girls surround me, I was very friendly and wagged a lot...ut oh, I got dirty again!

I finished my day with a bath...I still hate them but Mom said I'm all fluffy now...guess that's good! Guess I'll just go to bed!
